What's New in the GoodVision Platform: A Redesigned Interface

The GoodVision platform has a redesigned interface. A more compact navigation menu and a rebuilt Describe Scene workspace went live on 28 July 2026, changing how you create and manage the parts of a traffic scene: filters, lines and zones, and timeline metrics.

The scope of your analysis is unchanged. The same movements, metrics, and widgets are all there, and existing data sources, filters, metrics, and saved setups carried over untouched. What's new is the interface you build them in.

Here is what shipped, panel by panel.

A Compact Navigation Menu That Keeps Your Place

The navigation menu is more compact and resizable, so you decide how much room it takes from your working space.

Your active data source now stays in context as you move around the platform. Switch from a data source to another section such as Storage and that data source stays active, so you can jump straight back to it instead of searching for it again.

You can also pin data sources. Pin the few you are working on and they stay within reach, and pinning saves per user, so your list is yours.

Movements, Events, and Scenarios in One Filters Panel

Movements, events, and scenarios are managed from a single Filters panel, with scenarios grouped under a new Advanced category. A step-by-step wizard walks you through creating each one.

You can search across every filter and apply bulk actions to several at once. Each filter shows its object count, and hovering previews the filtered trajectories with a breakdown by object class, so you can check a movement is capturing what you intended before you commit to it.


Selecting a filter highlights the lines and zones that movement uses, and adds a dynamic metric at the top of the timeline showing its event occurrences, which you can play back against the footage.

The filter wizard groups every filter type into Crossings, Zones and Advanced.

In the second step, name your filter, select the crossing type and assign the lines it should track.

A Dedicated Lines and Zones Panel

Lines and zones have their own panel for the first time, one of the most frequently requested additions to the platform. Previously they could only be handled directly inside the scene.

From the panel you can hide overlapping zones, lock objects so they don't shift by accident, and edit or delete several objects together. On a scene with a lot of overlapping approaches, that is the difference between managing the geometry and fighting it.

Lines and zones now have a dedicated panel, so overlapping geometry can be hidden or locked instead of fought with inside the scene.

Timeline Metrics With No Cap

Timeline metric creation has moved from the side panel to a new panel directly under the video player. Click "+ Metric" to open the creation wizard.

Each metric can be moved, collapsed, or hidden, and shows its name on the timeline itself. The previous limit of five metrics is gone, so track speed, occupancy, gap acceptance, and as many safety metrics as the analysis calls for on the same approach.

Every Panel Resizes

Every panel is resizable, including the video player, the timeline, Filters, and Lines and Zones. Arrange the workspace around whichever part of the scene you are working on.

The widget creation wizard has been redesigned along the same lines, so building the outputs that sit on top of your filters follows the same step-by-step pattern as creating the filters themselves.

The Same Workspace on Real Projects

On a master plan for a 12-hectare transit-oriented development in Metro Manila, Mott MacDonald cut the data step from roughly a month of manual processing to about two weeks. That project needed turning movements, vehicle classification down to jeepneys and tricycles, and pedestrian trajectories, all from the same footage and all defined in the same workspace.
